Pre-inquiry Meeting

The purpose of a Pre-inquiry Meeting (PIM) is to help the Inspector and the participants to prepare for the inquiry proper, and so enable the proceedings to be conducted as efficiently and speedily as possible. No discussion of the merits of the proposal at a PIM is permitted. It is not the function of a PIM to consider matters, including evidence, which should appropriately be discussed at the inquiry.

A second meeting took place on Thursday 25 March 2004 at the Inquiry Venue.
