Our experience during the year has enabled us to review and refine our Mission and Corporate Objectives to ensure that they are fully aligned to delivery in the changing planning environment.

Our Values

We will achieve our mission by ensuring that in dealing with planning and other casework we follow the principles of fairness, openness and impartiality.  In preparing our decisions and reports we will take account of:

  • published national, regional and local policies;
  • relevant planning issues and material considerations;and
  • the views of all the parties.

Our Corporate Objectives

To maintain the reputation of PINS by managing all our work professionally and setting the highest quality standards for its achievement;

To make the most productive use of all our resources to deliver efficient and effective customer service; on all our casework;

To use our expertise to support on-going Planning Reform by influencing policy formulation through effective feedback;

To maintain and develop a well-trained, skilled, diverse and involved workforce responsive to changing business needs; and

To align business and financial planning to meet our objectives efficiently, effectively and with maximum value for money and minimum environmental impact.
