Key performance targets 2010/11 – Wales
Timeliness
- 80% of all planning appeals decided by written representations to be determined in 16 weeks.
- 80% of all planning appeals decided by hearings to be determined in 22 weeks.
- 80% of all planning appeals decided by inquiries to be determined in 30 weeks.
- 80% of all enforcement appeals decided by written representations to be determined
in 30 weeks.
- 80% of all enforcement appeals decided by hearings and inquiries to be determined in 41 weeks.
- To provide an Inspector for development plan inquiries in at least 90% of cases on the
date requested by the local authority, provided that the objection period has ended and
at least 6 months’ notice has been given.
- To deliver 90% of Inspectors’ reports on development plan inquiries to local authorities
according to timescales agreed under service agreements.
- For called-in applications and recovered appeals to meet the individual timetable set for
delivery of the report to the National Assembly (7 weeks up to 8 inquiry sitting days;
agreed timetable for larger cases).
Quality
To satisfy the Advisory Panel on Standards, and thus the Secretary of State and the Welsh Assembly Government, annually and following rigorous monitoring, that the quality of all the
Inspectorate’s work is being maintained at a high standard, with 99% of its casework free
from justified complaint.
