About The Planning Inspectorate
The Planning Inspectorate works for the National Assembly for Wales and the Department for Communities and Local Government (previously the DTLR) on a range of casework under Planning and Environmental legislation. While we are working towards the implementation of the Freedom of Information, the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information, "The Open Government Code", will remain the access regime for Government information. It supports the Government's policy of extending access to official information and responding to reasonable requests for information. See the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information. We are committed to the principle of electronic working, however, at present we are not able to accept appeals or representations over the Internet. If you have an appeal under consideration you should already know a specific contact name and number, they are shown on our letters.
