The Planning Inspectorate

Dibden Terminal Inquiry - Outline Statements

To ensure that the Inspector had the information he required to structure and programme the inquiry, those registering as major participants were asked to submit an outline statement. This is a written statement of the principal submissions which a person/organisation proposes to put forward at an inquiry. Such statements enable relevant issues to be identified and help with the planning of the inquiry timetable.

Paragraphs 18-20 of the Code of Practice for Major Planning Inquiries give information about outline statements.

Copies of outline statements were sent to the following locations, where they could be inspected:

Marchwood Village Hall,
Hythe Library
The Grove, Hythe
Civic Centre, Totton.

In addition, New Forest District Council, Hampshire County Council and Southampton City Council were passed copies of those statements to arrange inspection at their offices.

Formal Statements of Case, as requested from the major participants by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, have been submitted.
