Procedures
The inquiry will be subject to the procedure in the Town and Country Planning (Major Infrastructure Project Inquiries Procedure) (England) Rules 2002 in respect of the planning application application for the container port. Although there are no statutory Inquiries Rules governing the applications under the Harbours Act 1964 and the Coast Protection Act 1949, for consistency of approach the spirit of the above Rules should be applied to those applications.
In so far as the inquiry deals with the application for the Transport and Works Act Order, it is subject to the Transport and Works (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 1992.
