I am also enclosing the final draft programme indicating the topics to be covered and participants to be involved in the hearing session. I would also draw your attention to Matters for Examination, which sets out the main topics under each topic heading to be debated at the examination.

Also enclosed is the Planning Inspectorate’s guide “Frequently Asked Questions” on Local Development Frameworks. If you do not already have a copy of the Inspectorate’s “Development Plans Examination – A Guide to the Process of Assessing the Soundness of Development Plan Documents” , please let me know and I’ll send you one. This is “required reading” for everyone involved in the examination process.

I will let you know when the Council’s Self Assessment of the Core Strategy against the Tests of Soundness is available – hopefully by [date]. I will also let you know when the Council publishes its topic papers – hopefully by [date] and will send you a copy of the Inspector’s Issues Paper when it is published on [date].
