Annex A - Framework Document
The Planning Inspectorate works under the terms of a Framework Document, published by DETR and the National Assembly for Wales.
The Agency's objectives, as stated in the Framework Document, are as follows:
- to provide as efficient, effective, expeditious and economic a service as is compatible with the maintenance of quality and high professional standards, as well as with the resources available;
- to maintain the integrity of each Inspector as an independent tribunal, not subject to any improper influence;
- to provide clear and readily available information and guidance for all who come into contact with the Agency;
- to achieve all financial and performance targets that are set for the Agency; and
- to maintain an efficient, properly trained and well-motivated workforce.
The Framework Document will be reviewed as part of the quinquennial review.
