Cost Decisions and Awards
Tables 33 and 34 show the number of cost decisions issued by Inspectors and the Secretary of State in England. In 1999-2000 awards were made in 30% of costs decisions issued (also 30% in 1998-99). An award of costs was made in favour of the applicant in approximately 27% of appellants' applications (27% in 1998-99) and 45% of local authority applications (41% in 1998-99).
