Listed Building Appeals - England
Table 22 shows the number of listed building appeals under section 20 of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, received, withdrawn, decided and allowed in 2000-01, together with the number of cases in hand. The number of appeals received increased by 12% and the number of appeals decided has increased by 1%.

Table 23 shows the number of listed building enforcement notice appeals, under section 39 of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, received, withdrawn and decided. It also gives the number of notices upheld. The number of appeals received in 2000-2001 fell by 12%, and the number decided fell by 22%.
