South East Partial Review - Minerals Examination in Public (EiP) - Welcome

The Government is reviewing the Regional Spatial Strategy Policy M3 relating to primary aggregates (sand, gravel and crushed rock) in South East England. 

The figure proposed for primary aggregates are those currently out for consultation. The relevant consultation document is:

Partial Review of The Regional Spatial Strategy for the South East Review of Policy M3 – Primary land-won aggregates and sub-regional apportionment Recommendations for amending the policy March 2009

This will remain out for consultation until 5.00pm on Friday 26 June 2009.

You are welcome to make your comments on the Comments Form, prior to the Public Examination of the revised policy.

The Examination, conducted by an Independent Panel,  will take place on Tuesday 6th October by an independent Panel. The venue for the Examination is the Penta Hotel, Reading.

You can learn more about the Examination, at the Preliminary Meeting on Tuesday 21 July at the same venue.
