South Downs National Park Inquiry
Submission of video evidence
1. The Inspector has agreed to accept video and Powerpoint presentations
providing it is directly relevant to the point/s at issue. For any
video
evidence, the Inspector will need to know its running time and general
content; and the participant’s reasons for preferring to use
video.
2. The video will not be screened during the inquiry. However the participant
will be invited to read the summary that has been submitted. Unless
the
Inspector has previously agreed otherwise, this should not take longer
than 15 minutes. The participant may then be asked questions about the
video.
3. Six copies of the relevant tape (in VHS format) must be submitted
to the Inquiry Secretariat according to the same timetable as for other
inquiry
evidence. The Inquiry Secretariat will then provide a copy to the Inspector
and the Countryside Agency. A copy will also be held in the Inquiry
Library.
4. The person/organisation submitting the videotape should simultaneously
submit a written summary of its contents (again, 6 copies). This should
include paper copies of any map, graph or similar diagrammatic material
included in the tape. It should also give details of the dates, times
and viewpoints of the scenes shown in the video.
5. Six paper copies of any Powerpoint presentations will also need to
be submitted to the inquiry secretariat according to the same deadlines
as
all other inquiry documents.
