South Downs National Park Inquiry

9 July 2008
The Inspector closed this re-opened Inquiry on Friday 4th July after 27 sitting days. The anticipated date for submission of the Inspector's report to DEFRA is for the end of November 2008.
30 June 2008
The Inspector will close the inquiry in writing on Friday July 4 and will not consider any material submitted after that date. He will also confirm his likely submission time for his report to the Secretary of State.
5 June 2008
The inquiry concluded oral evidence on Wednesday 28th May 2008, the 27th sitting day with closing statements from The South Downs Campaign and Natural England. Further written closing statements are to be submitted by 6 June. Natural England will then be given until 20 June to make any final comments on those submissions before the Inspector announces the closure of the Inquiry.
