21 July 2008 - Applications called in and inquiry process started for the called in applications, and also for applications and orders to be decided by the Secretary of State for Transport, and by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport

13 October 2008 - Outline statements (in respect of the applications called in by The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government) from applicant, local planning authority, and from any other party who has registered to be a major participant at the inquiry into those applications. Also, Statements of Case in respect of the Highways Agency orders, the Transport and Works Act Order and the Scheduled Monument Consent applications. Because several inquiry procedure regimes are involved, depending on the applications and orders that they relate to, the intention is to follow the MIP Inquiry Procedure Rules as much as possible. As such, if any party is to play a major part, then they should register that interest accordingly. As a consequence, they will be asked to provide an outline statement to assist in the planning of the inquiry.

10 November 2008 - Pre-inquiry meeting.
