Pre-Inquiry Meeting

A Pre-inquiry Meeting took place on Monday 10 November 2008 at the Hilton London Stansted Airport, Round Coppice Road, Stansted Airport, Essex, CM24 1SF.

The purpose of the Meeting was to help the Inspector and the participants to prepare for the inquiry proper, and so enable the proceedings to be conducted as efficiently and speedily as possible. It was a public meeting, presided over by the Inspector.

No discussion of the merits of the proposed development was permitted. It is not the function of pre-inquiry meetings to consider matters, including evidence, which should appropriately be discussed at the inquiry itself.
